Political violence is abhorrent. It damages democracy.

However, let's not whitewash who Charlie Kirk was and what he stood for. The irony of this racist, misogynistic gun toting bigot being shot is palpable.

He used the falsehood of "free speech" to tour universities spreading what is nothing more than his hate speech. He intimidated those of differing political views. He had a watchlist where he encouraged students to provide information, out and shame professors who had left wing views.
